"In 2005 I signed up for what now the popular mud, trail & bike event is known as the Muddy Buddy. With no experience running I didn't think too much about it since it was only 6.2 miles and half was running. Well race day came and I quickly realized at mile 2 that is was difficult. So I set goals to improve my performance and in 2010 took first place on the podium. In addition, to that I have improved my running abilities. It has been a long seven years of goal setting.

This year I decided to get a personal trainer to try and improve my performance a bit more. Coming into the gym I have no problem after years knowing what to do on the treadmills, elliptical or Stair Master. Now put me in the weight side of the gym I have no direction or goals. So with the help of Aimee and several sessions I feel I am heading in the right direction.

The first thing we did was discuss my goals. Each session she designs the workouts around them and explains how each exercise builds targeted muscles. The sessions are 30 minutes of focused exercises leaving me humbled each time and exhausted. It is great because Aimee keeps everything moving quickly so that I am able to get the most out of my sessions. In addition, I don't need to think about what to do next; she is setting up & counting for me. Without her I would probably spend about 90 minutes to accomplish only half of what she is able to get out of me during one of her sessions.

After each session she gives me advice on improving my recovery time so that I am able to still complete my running goals. During the sessions she is guides me on ensuring my technique is correct and maximizes each set. For the last several years I would run hard and frequent pushing through painful runs. Now with stretching, rolling my muscles and proper nutrition the next day is easier to complete my runs/exercises.

Overall, things are much more structured and I feel my next race goal will be a more enjoyable experience. When I cross the finish line I know it will be a lot in part to Aimee. I now have another nine sessions set to keep me on track up to race day and would recommend everyone to sign up for at least one training session with a personal trainer it really makes a huge difference and the guidance is worth the investment! "

"Aimee's training is amazing! She motivated me and pushed me when I wanted to quit. The workouts are never boring and so effective. I always finished doing my best because Aimee brought me mentally and physically there. I love the feeling of accomplishing a hard/great workout when I'm sweaty, my muscles are shaking and I'm sore!
